Design Response
The design of the new extension was carefully orchestrated to uphold the value of theoriginal building while also seamlessly integrating with both the existing structure and the surrounding streetscape. Delicate connections and passage ways were devised to link the extension to the main building. Despite theconstraints, ArtMade prioritised maximising the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. The design of the new extension drew inspiration from the architectural elements of the existing building.
Innovative Interiors
Preservation of the internal fabric of the original building was prioritised based on guidance from heritage consultants. The design of the extension was conceived to facilitate a harmonious merging offuture interior designs with the existing structure, creating a narrative akinto a fairy tale.
