The design approach fosters a sense of openness and warmth, as well as ease of living:
- The entry connects with the open living area while retaining the existing wet areas.
- Joinery features at the entry provide seating and storage for coats and shoes.
- A dual-level island bench serves as a dining table for larger gatherings, with a sculptural ceiling element.
- The material palette includes a feature colour to add warmth and vibrancy, contrasting with the dark timber.
